Principal Jennifer Bernstein to Speak at the 2017 MODE Conference

Jennifer Bernstein has been invited to speak at the MODE / Motion Design Education Summit and Conference to be held at The Ohio State University, Department of Design in Columbus, OH June 2017. The topic of her presentation will be the chapter that she wrote for the forthcoming book, Kinetic Emergence: The Theory and Practice of Motion Design, R. Brian Stone and Leah Wahlin (editors) to be published by Common Ground Publishing in 2017. The editors write, "the book seeks to create the opportunity for dialogue and synthesis between the academic theoretical framework and what is being done in professional practice." Her chapter, entitled "Re-framing Design: Engaging Form, Meaning, and Media” will be the subject of her presentation, and calls for an integration of interdisciplinary theory in design education, and further recognition of the cross-media nature of design practice.
