When Versant Group launched in 2017, its founding partners brought decades of investment expertise—and a vision for a new kind of platform-based real estate investment firm. Level was brought in from the outset to shape the name, positioning, and identity of this new venture.

We began by naming the firm “Versant,” a word that connotes fluency—a metaphor for the team’s collective experience and cross-sector insight. From there, we developed a brand strategy and messaging system that extended across the full identity suite and website.

The Versant logomark expresses both structure and transparency—interlocking elements that suggest integrity, partnership, and clarity. These values echo throughout the firm’s visual and verbal identity, positioning it as a confident, grounded presence in a complex investment landscape.

As the firm grew, the identity system expanded with it. Additional logomarks for Versant Investment Management and Versant Asia preserved the integrity of the brand while extending its presence across divisions and regions.

This project was honored with a Graphis Gold Award in the 2018 Graphis Design Annual.
